1. Learn your specific part for M. 64-end of Lamentations of Jeremiah using the recordings below. The following are some suggestions for learning this section: A. Break it into sections- for example, sopranos & altos: begin with m. 64-67. After you feel you know those measures, you will notice that m. 69-72 are a repeat of m. 64-67. Altos & Tenors: M. 75-78 are the same as M. 80-83. Basses and tenors also have repeats throughout m. 64-84. Also, notice that m. 92-107 are a repeat of a section you already know. We love repetition. B. Before you start singing each section, listen to the designated measures 2-3 times, listening to your own part to get an idea of what you are supposed to be singing. C. Before you sing your part with the words, sing on a vowel like 'ah' or 'oh'. Whatever feels comfortable for you. D. Before you add the Latin into your singing, speak the Latin until you feel you can say it correctly in the tempo the singing requires. E. Finally, add the Latin as you sing each section. 2. When you feel you know your part sufficiently, record yourself singing m.64-end and submit the recording with this assignment. I have included all the recordings and the pdf of the music again for your use. If you prefer to have your music, you may go to the school and get it. If my room is locked, the front office can open it for you..
